TECHNICAL, MORPHOLOGICAL AND STYLISTIC FEATURES OF SIBERIAN TILES AS A HISTORICAL SOURCE

Tiles are ceramic products with a front plate and vertical framed rib (1 inch or higher) on the back side, intended for architectural stove lining. They became completely new phenomenon in Siberia 17th–18th centuries. Their distribution is associated process of civilizational modernization, which entailed emergence industries, technologies, specialists. Buildings stoves tiled decor have not been preserved region, written information scarce, so main source study Siberian tiles archaeological materials. The most representative collections from Tobolsk, Tyumen, Tomsk, Yeniseisk, single fragments were found Beryozovo, Kuznetsk, Irkutsk village Kemerova. technical morphological characteristics include: composition dough, quality fi ring, size shape plate, method processing decorating face, color, design. All types represented Siberia: relief terracotta, glazed green multi-color, single-color smooth, multi-color painted smooth. Relief polychrome dominate quantitatively. made red clay.
